Many people ask me what I cannot answer: “What should I do about XYZ medication?”

I cannot answer that, it is not in my scope. However, I can answer many people’s questions in a broad way. First of all, 99% of pharmaceuticals are not medicine, they are poisons that happen to have a side effect that can alleviate a single symptom. Unfortunately, and quite to the knowledge of public and doctors alike, this necessitates the usage of two, maybe even three more pharmaceuticals to counterbalance the “side effects” which are really the effects of the poison on the liver, kidneys, heart, and lungs.
That doens’t mean I am against pharmaceuticals. Actually toxic herbs have been used in China and India forever. It’s all about how long you use them and what you do in the meantime to restore balance to the body. But if you – and indeed America and the West – thinks you can live on pharmaceuticals forever, you are either turning a blind eye, being duped, or just delusional. These things will kill you over time. Excessive steroids and antibiotics can kill you. If not directly, indirectly through failure as a last resort.

REAL Traditional Medicine – as the West had it before 1960 – understands that the only healing comes through maintainence of the energies of the body: Qi, nutrients, blood/marrow, and general psycho-somatic-social health.

Four sources of Qi:

  1. Food
  2. Air
  3. Water
  4. Spirit

These are medicine. Everything else is a crutch or a harm. If it is a crutch, it may buy you time to heal, but it isn’t going to replace health. Warfarin can keep you alive but it isn’t going to stop arteriosclerosis. Period.

Speaking of which, cholesterol is not your enemy, high blood pressure is. You NEED cholesterol, and it is there to save you. But of course if you never deal with why you have high blood pressure (hint: it ain’t your systole that counts) you will not eliminate the rise in total cholesterol in the blood. A person who has pent up Qi, wiry and thin pulse, even with regulated BP under 140 can run every day all week long and they will NEVER make enough HDL to reduce LDL/VLDL to acceptable levels… and they can still get myocardial hypertrophy and CHF and die.

So we need to get REAL about “medicine”.

  • Energetic
  • Alleviating
  • Life-respecting

Are pharmaceuticals all of these? Rarely. Some, yes. Please do absolutely take your baby aspirin and your tums. Tums can help prevent esophageal cancer. But do NOT mistake lowering your BP with actual health and energy management techniques:

  • Qi Gong
  • Yoga
  • Tai Chi
  • Acupuncture
  • Massage
  • Chiropractic
  • Cranio-sacral
  • Herbalism
  • Naturo/homeo-pathic
