So you made it through Sumemrdamp without getting “Sudden Turmoil” (out both ends)?
Then you made it through Summerheat (thank God for Memorial Day).
But now… what the heck is this? Both together!? And next up is Summerfire? And you already know what that will be like… heat index of 110 F?!?! WTH!?!?
Nature has provided herbal and dietary ways to deal. The single most important foods in your arsenal will be:
Ginger (to protect stomach from summer flu)… don’t use during summerfire, but is good all year round.
Watermelon drains dampness and is cool. Use the rind, peeled, to make a tea or add to a sweet tea. Don’t overdue the sweet tea, it engenders dampness, too!
Cucumber, continue to cool the liver beyond spring and through the Fall with this cold item.
Cooked fish. Fish are cold. Saltwater is colder. Both are hard on the Spleen-Stomach, so cook or braise them.
Mint keeps the liver flushed and clean. Apple cider vinegar is okay, too.
Beyond that, there are some herbal formulas we sell that prevent the diseases that like to grow in foods during late April. Talk to us about keeping an herbal cabinet that protects you from Sudden Turmoil. I myself defeated it Saturday and let me tell you… all I did was turn my head and suddenly I was in for a wild ride. But I got home, took herbs, and never threw up or had anything go wrong. Just a couple of hours off my feet and I was back out later. And yeah, it was food-related. So don’t end up with a lost day due to the runs. Get herbal, and get even with nature by using her own weapons!
